"...few boats at Hadicurari fishermen center were destroyed by the strong sea current. ...Portions of the Sasaki highway are also flooded...All schools on the island are closed today because of the weather situation..."
"Big waves have slammed the Pinchos Pier, and a big chunk of it is already destroyed. Some volunteers are helping to carry some items of this popular restaurant back to land, but the waves are crashing through, making this 'rescue effort' very dangerous."
"...Zeerover, Brisas del Mar are pretty hit- and we saw water coming out of FF [Flying Fishbone] onto the street. ..."
"...Luckily Old Man and a Sea was not hurt too bad, the gazebo did come down.. and dirt..."

We are here in Aruba (been here since the 9th) and are experiencing this right now! Never thought my first trip would consist of experiencing a Hurricane. Yikes! Not gonna lie, I'm pretty scared!
We are suppose to leave Saturday... hopefully we still can, I need to get back to school!!!
http://www.24ora.com/content/view/6374/5/ Rodgers Beach This beach is protected by a barrier reef, so for the boats to be thrown up on shore was quite a feat of water and wave power.
http://www.24ora.com/content/view/6376/5/ First minute, directly south and then north of the Tamarijn. Minute 2 - 3 Palm Beach in the vicinity of Hadicurari/Marriott Vacation Clubs. End looks like Malmok/Boca Catalina.
Sadly, I was told that someone did die at the Marriot yesterday. He was trying to tie his boat, and fell in the water and they couldn't get to him in time.
I certainly hope thats not the case. I have some friends that run a watersports place near there and keep their boats there.... Looks like I'll be making some phone calls.

Hope its not true ,to save a boat and die its not worth it.
