Arriving on Sat July 16. What are the chances that we'll get hit with storms from Emily? Any input would welcome. thanks much

I just returned on Tuesday evening and on the way down Hurricane Dennis was in our way. I flew American and we had a delay because they needed to wait for a plane to use that had special "in the air de-icing mechanisms" because of all the moisture in the atmosphere. Even with that, we had to fly over to Puerto Rico, then around the southern point of Curacao and then over to Aruba. Even though we were miles from the hurricane, it did make for a bit of a turbulent ride. Being a travel agent, I've flown all over the place, been in very bumpy air and made a couple of emergency landings. This definitely made my list of "flights to remember"! Once in Aruba, though........aaaaahhhhhhh.......all scary airplane thoughts were history!

Emily is going to skirt the island on Friday

It looks like Aruba will get hit by the tail end of Emily also. There are currently Tropical Storm warnings in Effect for all of the ABC Islands. We hope there is no damage.

Hurricane Emily is on her way! There are tropical storm watches for Aruba.
