hyatt question

My husband and I will be staying at the Hyatt and wonder about the beach. From the pictures I've seen, the beach looks very nice but I'm concerned that we would have to get up pretty early to get a chair. Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt and know if this is a problem (we like to sleep late). Thanks

Re: hyatt question

We have been staying at the Hyatt for 10 years now and never had a problem getting a hut or a lounge chair. The staff at the Hyatt will go out of their way to help you. Have a great time at the Hyatt. We can't wait till we go back there in October.

Re: hyatt question

I have stayed at the Hyatt several times and it is not difficult to get a chair. Tip the cabana staff and it gets even easier.

However, it can be difficult to get a palapa. If you want to have one of these you should check in advance about making a reservation.

Re: hyatt question

Thanks for the help. We have a large beach umbrella that we bring on beach trips so we really won't need the huts; just the chairs. We have an ocean/pool view; how is it?

Anton:

No one brings their own beach umbrella-it's too windy-you'll be chasing it all day. The Hyatt is great-I've stayed there 3 times and will be going again at the end of July-can't wait! Restaurants are great, staff is awesome, chairs easily available but you may want to take turns getting up early to get a hut-too hot to sit in the full sun. You can always nap on the beach later on... Enjoy!!!

Re: hyatt question

We stayed at the Hyatt last August and didn't have a problem getting a chair as long as we got up early. If you want a nice spot close to the water get up early and wait in line, its worth it.

I hope you have a good system to secure your beach umbrella. The winds will pick it up and send it sailing.

Re: hyatt question

Get up early to grab a palapa. Aruba is too beautiful to waste one moment of sunshine sleeping inside. Nap on the beach with a rum runner at your side! The beach at the Hyatt is gorgeous, and take advantage of happy hour at the pier bar!
