?? On Hyatt and Radisson

Hi All
I just wanted to pick your brain's about these hotels.

On the Hyatt, which is the room with the best view/balcony? I know that they have "Oceanview/Poolview" and also "Oceanview/Islandview" and I'm not sure of the difference between the two.

On the Radisson, which is the nicest room/best view room that they have available?

In the past, we've stayed at the Occidental but they are going to be closed for renovations ( We are going in October)
and we'd like to treat ourselves a little this time.

We are couple in our late 20's/early 30's and we like good happy hours/gambling etc

Thanks so much in advance for your time!!!

Sarah & Rob

The Radisson is a much nicer hotel. The Hyatt is in need of renovations.

Choose the Aruba Tower at the Radisson. I would recommend either oceanview or partial ocean view. The sixth floor is a nice play to stay for a partial ocean view room. I would also recommend signing up for the concierge service! You will be treated well!

Enjoy!

Re: ?? On Hyatt and Radisson

Hello. My boyfriend and I have been to Aruba 5 or 6 times and we prefer the Wyndham. We stayed at the Radisson last time. It is fancier than Wyndham but the rooms were much further away from the ocean. And a longer walk to the lobby. Rooms at both places are comparable. If you stay on the pool side of Wyndham you are much closer to the ocean and the pool has a fountain so you always hear water. Very calming. You overlook a small reef on your left that you can snorkel to. It is off shore a bit but the water is still not over your head. At night the Wyndham has a live band at their outside bar and you can hear the music from your balcony. Favorite places to eat-Amazonia, Villa Germania, Le Dome and all Wyndams eateries are good. Radisson has a really good place to eat too. I don't remember the name but there are pictures of pottery on the wall.

Re: ?? On Hyatt and Radisson

I too love the Allegro and wont be able to visit this summer. But I am looking into the Radisson and Hyatt as well.
I am leaning toward a partial ocean view at the Radisson. I will see if I can get the Aruba tower...thanks for the advice.
How do you sign up for the concierge service and what does this do for you?

Radisson is the best. I have stayed at Hyatt and it does need some renovations. I always ask for the Aruba Tower, even number room and at least the 4th floor and up. That will give you an ocean/pool view.

Re: ?? On Hyatt and Radisson

i would choose hyatt over any hotel, of course,in the long run,it doesnt matter where you stay. its all personal preference...you get a different feeling at the hyatt then the radisson. we feel like we are home when we are at the hyatt.. warm ,friendly very attentive staff. the grounds are much more beautiful and accomodating at the hyatt then the radisson, like 2 different worlds.yes, the hyatt is a bit more pricey, but certain times of the year.you can pay a pretty penny at the rad too. there is nothing wrong with any hotel, but everyone has there own taste. everyone likes different things when they go away. it comes down to this, you get what you pay for... i think the best rooms at the hyatt are the ocean front... some of the rooms are a little bigger... and by the way, the hyatt is undergoing renovation as we speak, just like the rad did a few yrs ago...!!!!!so go where you like and enjoy aruba...!!ps,we also love the rooms that are garden view, a little less $ too.. any room is great... it really does not matter...enjoy!

Re: ?? On Hyatt and Radisson

We have stayed at the Radisson on two separate occassions and absolutely love it. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are really nice. The walk to the beach is really beautiful with all the waterfalls and tropical birds. If you don't feel like travelling there are nice restaurants right on the premises.

The Hyatt has rooms with small balcony's you can just stand out there no sitting. The Radisson has full balconys and is a beautiful hotel aslo. I would go with the Radisson. We have stayed at both and we like to sit on the balcony and relax. The Hyatt has some with full balconys but they are direct ocean front and very expensive.

Re: ?? On Hyatt and Radisson

We stayed at the Hyatt last June and it was nice. I didn't think it needed any renovations. I do think Radisson has a better pool that Hyatt-its more spread out and less crowded, but Hyatt has a slide.
