I am going to Aruba June 3-9th

As part of Bluegreen Vacation Club. My Wife and I are staying at La Cabanna(sp?) that week.

From what I can tell we need to rent a car for a week, no problem. And drive around. Are there places we should not go?(poverty, crime) We are 28 and really not up for the bar/casino thing. We like to explore, go off the beaten path and check things out. We will go to the tourist spots too.

We want to snorkle as much as we can and try some local(not tourist) resturants. We plan to cook in the room some too, so how are the grocery stores?

I read through these boards to see some answers but I got tired of looking as they are soooo spread out.

Let me know

You will have no problem with the grocery stores. They sell the same products as in the States. We shop at Ling & Sons which also sells beer, wine and liquor. So it is one stop shopping. Also most timeshares have a small grocery store on the premises to purchase items but in a smaller size.
