Many of you are facing the White....Cold ...Season of the year...The one I left behind...If only for a little while...But this morning ...Close your eyes and come with me...To the Island...If you will.

As I type the Island is waking up....The trade winds are blowing your hair...as you look out over the aqua colored waters of Aruba...Coffee in hand....That relaxed ...Tan feeling is what you feel...You have long stopped worrying about your hair...because there is nothing you can do....but sit back and relax..

Your goal today....With a good book in your hands....Is to soak up gods gift of the glow....Cold drink near by...The steel band in the background whisks you away...To the happy times of life....all those worries of home are far behind.
The smell of Coconut Oil is in the air..and as you drift off...a smile is all they see.

All of you are with me now...In the spirit of the Island...Leave all the worries behind....If only for a little while.

Don't cry because it's over.....Smile because it happened.

The day after we booked our trip for next Feb....it snowed here and there was like 17 inches of snow.For the first time in my life I was actually smiling while clearing the snow.....just knowing we are going again made me smile.

See 'red lobsters' walking around
here and know they made the 'first day' mistake!

Oh Big Papa, for a second there I WAS THERE. Man I just can't wait. You know if there wasn't that nice breeze there is always that beautiful aqua water--and the pool as well. Oh just to smell that coconut oil again--LOL
We will be there soon-just not soon enough. I love what you said :"Don't cry because it is over---Smile because it happened" Now if I just remember that when our plane takes off back to Texas. LOL

It's hard not to cry...While you sit and wait at the airport....You see people arriving...Like you did...but you had your day in the sun....and I just realize how lucky I was to have it....If only for a little while.

Big Papa,

Thanks for those thoughts, I have a few medical issues to take care of before my June trip, but when I do, I will be thinking those exact thoughts and although I've actually felt them before it does give me something to look forward to & feeling again real soon.
