If you were in downtown Oranjestad today

If you were downtown you may have seen a political "protest gone ugly"
No it was not a "coup d'eteat," but was a group of political protesters making a mess, vandalizing and behaving pretty badly.
I was told the traffic was a mess and it was an ugly scene.

    Here is the news article

Yep, apparently it got a bit ugly... but we were in Palm Beach and other than a few folks talking about it, nothing was happening here.

yup, all protestors lose all credibility when they begin to vandalize, be violent and act stupidly.
and that just doesn't mean those in aruba.

It's very sad and I would imagine intimidating for those who came across it.

If your on an IPad you can just tap at he beginning of the line you want to highlight than drag the highlight to the end. Click copy, go to your browser and double click to get paste. The article appears to be in Papiamento but there are pictures.

    my translator summarized:

Things got out of hand after a vote for budget oversight. AVP and Parliament agreed than Holland should be able to counsel, not control, our finances to ensure a stable financial future. MEP supporters got out of hand.

MEP propagandized that we were loosing up independence.
