    I'm sooooo sad :(

As above I'm back in UK after 3 months in Aruba! It's awful it's cold, it's dark by 4pm, it's rained none stop, the closest beach is over an hour away and you would never ever ever swim in the sea, I'm grumpy, I'm now full of cold and the people aren't like those in Aruba I Miss Aruba sooooo much! On the plus point 39 weeks and I'll be back there for another 3 months those weeks cannot go fast enough!

Wow! I have withdrawl after spending 10 days in beautiful Aruba. I cannot imagine leaving after 3 months, then again I can't imagine being lucky to stay for 3 months! I understand the cold, long winters and early darkness but just keep counting down to your next 3 months, lucky you! It will be here before you know it, especially if you keep up with this forum.

Hi Andrea no we aren't I'm a substitute teacher and hes a plasterer. We rent a few properties out so we work and save and do absolutely nothing for 9 months. We also have a daily budget in Aruba so we don't over spend. Just love the place it was our first holiday together in 2009 we got married there last May and returned last September. We figured renting an apartment for 3 months is cheaper than a hotel for 2 weeks. Just means we have to save our spends and stick to them....... As long as the casino doesn't steal them

Oh I was sad after our two week trip ended. I can imagine how you are feeling. Great advice as to being disciplined and then rewarding yourself for it. It was a great result!! Glad you had a great trip!!

Thank you it's not easy we had a couple of crazy nights in the casino when we used our "emergency" funds but we survived and have learned for next time. Some nights we won and then we saved that money and We even did some really low money days ie sitting on the beach all day and having homemade cheap tea which meant that once or twice a week for the last 4 weeks we stayed at the renaissance - checked in early and spent two full days on the island so that was a great treat. I quit smoking too after 17 years (started when I was 15) so all my spare cash is saving towards next year as it'll be my hubbies 40th And I don't want a budget that week of the break xx
