Island similiar to Aruba

We have been to Aruba 6 times in the last 5 years.........and I am interested in seeing what other islands are out there that are like Aruba, but with it's own special character.
Things we love about Aruba.....weather, food and availablility or american been my husband is very picky!
We have been to Antiqua, Mexico, Grand Bahama Island, Bermuda.........not looking to go back to any of these islands.
We are looking to go away in November.
Any ideas??

I don't think there is ANYWHERE else in the world that can compare to Aruba or is similar to it, but that's just me!

I think your best bet is to speak to a travel agent. I've been to St. Maarten, it was much bigger than Aruba but we loved it...I wouldn't compare it to Aruba though. I have heard great things about the Turks and Caicos, but if you like to gamble, I don't think they have casinos.

Good luck in your search!

There is one casino in Turks and Caicos at the American Casino.

I am returning to Aruba in two weeks, for about the 15-17th time, in 30 years. While I'm looking forward to it, I am concerned about overbuilding, and I am feeling the same way. So in February, I am going to St. Kitts. I havent been there, but know people who have. I get the feeling that it is Aruba 15 years ago. Not built up. One big "American Style" hotel, the Marriott, with a casino, and a nice beach. Thats all I need. So maybe there's an idea for you.

They drive on the left on St Kitts. My husband, and several British lorry drivers, will attest that I'm not good at that. Otherwise, St Kitts would be on our short list. I think it's a good choice.

Anguilla has one of the beautiful beaches I've seen. Natural, unspoiled, peaceful.
Anguilla is very underdeveloped and may seem overly expensive, however, the prices are similar to Bermuda's. Anguilla is near St. Marten, if you are in St. Marten, go to the French side pier and ferry yourself over (20 min ferry ride) and check out this island.
We stayed in Anguilla for 7 days and that was more than enough to enjoy beautiful island's beaches and restaurants.

Don't be dissapointed if you don't see shopping malls or casinos, as I wrote before, Anguilla is very underdeveloped. THe only thing Anguilla has that others don't are long, white sand beaches with noone on them.

I'm with you....there is certainly a reason why they state that Aruba has the highest rate of return vacationers.

I'll give it another year, or maybe 10, and then maybe we'll try somewhere else!
