Is Jan 12-19th a good time to be in Aruba?
While my wife and I have been to Aruba at least 10 times, we have never been there in January. We also heard that there is a time in January when the Surf Club is "taken over" by a certain group. True or false? Heard they let their kids run wild...

there is never a "bad" time to visit aruba.
january is particularly awesome if you are escaping the cold and or snow and ice. re: your question of the surf club false or maybe a little true it is not a take over really. most of the kids do not run wild, but some do because the parents are negligent read more at this link NY religious group in JAN at Ocean Club? the large group at the marriott is usually week 3 and into week 4. if you are heading out on jan 19, you will be waving goodbye to aruba as they will be waving hello. |

I would try and find out for sure when they will be there. I have experienced this group first hand and you do not want to be anywhere near any of the Marriotts when they are there. They DO take over the place and it is not enjoyable. I have never seen more disrespectful people in my life. Not just the kids but the parents as well.
As stated above it is usually week 3 or 4. Some from the group do stay after. I don't know if any arrive early. If it is week three this year, change you plans a.s.a.p!!!! |

I would contact the resort directly and question them as to whether or not they have a large inclusive group staying at the resort during your dates of travel.
Please let us keep religion out of this thread.
