Cool Jeep Rental

Any suggestions on a good place to rent a jeep? We weren't happy with American last year. The car was old and the tire had a slow leak that they
didn't have time to fix unless we wanted to spend an afternoon at the rental office.

I have a Jeep reserved with Royal Car Rental for our trip in October and got a really good deal. They are running a 20% off special through December 20th, so we got a Jeep for a week for about $39/day. I also have been very pleased with Ardley's responsiveness to my emails and questions. This is my first time using them, so I can't really recommend them yet, but I chose Royal based on the positive comments from others on the BBs.

We've used Royal http://www.arubaroyal.com/ in the past as well with no problems whatsoever. Have reserved a couple of SUV's from them for December as well.

Nothing will ever be as bad as the rusted tin can we had from Hertz. The license lashed on with a plastic tie and that was just for starters...Like I remind everyone, just because it is a famous, well known reputable outlet in the US...in Aruba these are franchises. Corporate, as evidenced by their reaction to our complaint regarding Hertz Aruba and complaints here in the US to Avis regarding the Curacao franchise, just WILL NOT and DOES NOT care. <<stepping off my soap box now>>

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about trying Royal. We looked at cars last year and couldn't remember any with rental names that looked good. I am just hoping to get one where the seats aren't rusted in one position so I don't have to climb over the back.

We are going with Royal as well... Does the week plan mean 5 or 7 days (some places are different) We would only need the Jeep for 6 days so we might just rent it for 3 days and taxi the other days unless it ends up being a better deal to take the jeep for 7 days if that is what they consider a week rental. Hopefully I haven't confused anyone..hehe Thanks!

A week is 7 days. We have "taxi'd" and rented and we will always get a car now. It's alot easier to go to out to eat and sight seeing with a car. You can come and go a will. If you want to just go to get a sandwich you don't have to pay for a 2 minute ride around the corner.
Congradulations on your wedding. Our friends are getting married there too, in March.

We have rented Jeeps with Royal many times. They will also discount for cash. We also get a free Cell phone rental from them with our car. They have always been very nice, helpful and courteous.

Thanks for all your info. I made the reservations today for our jeeps and the company was more than helpful in answering all my questions. I can not wait to get on the Island!
