July 4

Thinking about taking a quick get away.

Are there usually a lot of happenings during the 4th of July weekend on the island?

July 4th will be busy with US citizens, but Aruba does not celebrate the US's birthday. The one year we were there for the 4th it was just another day in paradise.

We used to make our own 4th of July party back when there were many more people from the Colony around. Those days have faded. Sad to say but true.

We were down there for the 4th of July either 2 or 3 years ago. At that time there were several Fireworks displays including 2 in front of Eagle Beach as well as some at Palm Beach. Other than the Fireworks it was just another day for the locals.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, steering wheel in one hand, Martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “Haaa Wooo” what a ride!!!"

There are going to be some big celebrations at the Marriott Surf club... with dancing and everything.... there's going to be a big firework show at the divi resort as well. That's what I've heard so far. There is probably going to be celebrations at different resort as well.

Salsa Greetings,

Reggie
