We have the same debate all the time, cost of the timeshare rental vs prices of hotels. The struggle is real!

All 20 of my previous trips have been at a hotel on Palm Beach, next trip I will be spending a couple of nights on Palm then headed to LaCabana for my first time share experience. The change is somewhat scary but I am praying I love it or at least like it enough that it can be our Xmas get away spot when everything else is so expensive. Who knows, we may like the savings so much we become permanent timeshare people.

Our first three trips were to resort properties. Since then, trips 4-10 were at alternative accommodations and the last trip was at the Tropicana. Since then we finally came to one conclusion and that's that we're still renting. So we threw in the towel and said no more renting!

So we threw in the towel and said no more renting....does that mean you purchased a place or you are no longer renting alternative accommodations?

Congrats CP! I just got my timeshare confirmation to La Cabana for September. I'm waiting for Jet Blue to open up for September but no rush.

So glad I took your advise! The Southwest flights opened up today and the same flight would cost us $687 (with 1 stop) compared to the $460 direct on JetBlue! Thanks for your help!

Just booked 2017 this morning!! Paid $505 on JetBlue (one stop going, direct coming home) - not the best price, but I've always said anything under $500 is great. That's usually united or SWA - I'm totally ok with JB for $505

We've done that before with a stop going but direct coming home. The layover when Aruba awaits is not so bad but sometimes coming home you are just ready to get it over with.
How does your family do with luggage, do you include a bag in youthe ticket price with Jet Blue?
