Red face Just booked our trip!

Hi,
Finally we just booked our trip for September. I have been watching the airfare out of Milwaukee and it has just continued to go up since the beginning of December, so I thought I should just pull the trigger and book it. We are flying Delta this year as opposed to US Air. The fare was actually $200 cheaper if you don't count the travel insurance.

This will be our 9th year at the Tam, and it never seems real until I get everything booked. Now we can just count down the days until paradise once again. We have Bully on deck to pick us up, so we should be all set.

Hi peapod! Guess this is probably too late but have you considered Airtran? I am flying them later this month from Milwaukee to Aruba and it was MUCH cheaper than both Delta and UsAir! I was shocked to see that they fly there everyday now. (last year when I went they were only flying on the weekends). As I said, it is probably too late, but something to look into for the future!! Have a great trip!!

Congrats Peapod...on booking your trip! I totally agree it does not feel real until you actually "book it" then start the ole countdown clock. So exciting! I usually start my shopping for our November trip someone around Feb or March not that far off

Where does Airtran stop out of Milwaukee before getting to Aruba?

Just booked our trip for May!! Going down on Jet Blue from JFK (228.00) on 5/19 and returning on Delta (233.00) 5/27 . Jet Blue had crazy fare for return flight for 545.00 - insane!! We prefer JB because of direct flight but not at a increase of almost 300.00 one way, we'll do the stop in Atlanta w/Delta. But all in all came to 923.00 for both of us, not to bad!!

Can't wait to get there!!!

Thanks Soccermom for the info. We already bought the tickets, but as much as I hate to check fares after I already bit the bullet, I did go onto the AirTran website. We are staying for 9 days. It appears that they only fly out certain times of the week. They did not have any flights for a Thursday departure.

Don't want to have 2012 fly by, but can't help but count down the days already until September.

Bummer!....or maybe not since you already bought your tickets. Maybe they only fly out everyday of the week during certain times of the year. I am flying in Jan/Feb and they offered a flight everyday that I looked but only one flight a day to Aruba and back. Both of the flights go through Atlanta. Maybe you can keep it in mind for the future....you never know!!

You'll arrive in Aruba on the exact day we'll be leaving...

I'm already starting to book things. Today I got the Aruba-Curaçao-Aruba tickets (the Sao Paulo-Aruba-Sao Paulo were already booked), and may start booking some stuff (like the Dolphin Academy in Curaçao, or the Jolly Pirates tour in Aruba) soon.

Me too! And booking airplane or tours make the trip look even closer!

All the best from Brazil
