Kerstboom have arrived!

The kerstboom (Christmas trees) have arrived. People all over the island are buying their trees and decorating for the holidays. It's amazing to see evergreens this deep into the Caribbean, but there's lots of zany stuff here in Aruba. Check out the photo:

Can't wait for all the lights to go up. Planning on more photos and videos.

Bon dia.

I remember our first year we were there at Christmas time. The smell of the pine trees when a container was opened up.

I hear most of the trees come from Nova Scotia.

Its amazing. I'm sitting here in our family room looking at the perfect shaped, perfect hight evergreen Christmas tree made out of plastic, wires and a steel rod in the middle. Ha Ha Ha. Actually, I'd much rather be down in Aruba smelling the real tree.
Thank You for the picture

Cple: I miss the smell...always a live one when I was a boy...of a fresh-cut tree...now; like everything else...Credit Cards, etc....all is plastic. We use purchased pine smelling stuff to offset not having the real thing. I need a towel to catch the tears!

(i mean since they are imported in-- will they cost more then what we pay here in the states?

Prices vary depending on size. Trees range from 60 for a 5-6' to 135 USD for a 9-10'
