I am planning a trip in July to La Cabana. Has anyone ever stayed at this hotel? Do you recommend all inclusive or not? Is Eagle Beach beautiful? What is the resort like?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Definately don't do all inclusive. You would be very disappointed! There are many great restaurants in Aruba that you should try.
The resort is ok. It's huge. Just stayed there recently. It's about 15 years old and starting to show it's age. The rooms need to be renovated. Next time we'll try another resort.
Eagle beach is beautiful.

My wife and I were there last July and we loved it! We didn't do an all inclusive so I can't speak about that but we loved everything else about the resort. They have happy "hour" everyday between 3 and 5 where they have 2 for 1 drinks. The resort is very clean and everyone was friendly. We checked in around 2pm on a Friday and it was a bit a hassel because there were a lot of guests checking in at that time. Eagle Beach is beautiful. The resort offers beach cabanas and lounge chairs. There a lot of them and we had no problem finding the perfect spot each day. The sand is about the consistency of cornmeal and the water is crystal clear. There isn't much to see underwater because there isn't a reef but there are a few fish to look at. I wish we were going back this year but it looks like we'll need to make it back every other year.

i am going in may to la cabana and when i get back i will post pics and tell you how it is. it's SUPPOSE to be really nice.....

I stayed there back in 1986 and am returning 4/18. I would not recommend the all inclusive. There are too many nice restaurants on the island to limit yourself.

we are staying at the next door resort - Amsterdam Manor.

We've gone over to La Cabana a couple of times to sit in the whilrpool. (AM is lacking that)


La Cabana is big. very big. Lots of on site shopping.

Eagle Beach is beautiful.

A difference between Amsterdam Manor & La Cabana -

we can walk out to the beach at 10:00, 11:00, or noon and get a cabana & chairs.

It looks like the La Cabana folks need to claim their chairs pretty early in the morning.

It's across the street from the beach, but not a big deal to walk over. Very large place, lots of families. Lots of info and pix at www.lacabana.com

Look there for some responses. We are going in Oct. and were wondering the same. We are using a friends timeshare. Last time we went stayed at the Raddison.

This will be my 3rd year of going to the LaCabana. I liked the LaCabana so much I bought to units. Good restaurants, good pools, just like the place a lot. Eagle beach is really nice. Have fun!

We have a timeshare here and going April 10 for a week. We do not get all inclusive because we like to cook and there are grills outside and kitchenettes in the rooms. To us that is part of the fun!! Eagle Beach is very nice ! This will be our 5th trip
