Question La Cabana- prices of alcohol

I'll be staying at La Cabana Beach & Raquet Club at the end of the year and I'm not sure if I should get an all inclusive plan for breakfast/alcohol. I believe it is $55.00 per person per day. So I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much beer, budlight...etc is at the resort so that way I can decide if I should do the all- inclusive or not. Thanks!

Lacabana

We are owners at Lacabana BRC, alcohol prices are not bad at all, no more than any USA bar and they have a Happy Hour 2 for 1 every afternoon. Other than our days and afternoons at the resort pool we are probably not a good guage for alcohol consumption but I will tell you that Aruba has so many fine restaurants that my guess is that if you enjoy dining out missing all the great places to dine vs. the all inconclusive is something you might regret! The Lacabana is now being very agressive with food service to compete with the other resorts including new BBQ service take out. Greg & Susan

Don't bother with the AI option. I stayed at LaCabana 5 years ago and just brought a cooler with me to the pool/beach with beer that I purchased at the local supermarket (no problem). I also found LaCabana to be not as "happening" as around the other high rise hotels on Palm Beach or in the downtown area (especially at night - things slowed down at La Cabana in the late afternoon). Hence, you may want to explore other hotels/bars/casinos while you are there (with the AI option you may feel like you have to hang around La Cabana to get your money's worth so to speak). Many of these other locations have drink specials throughout the day/week (some Casinos even give you free drinks if you are gambling).

As for the breakfast part, you probably have a kitchen in your suite. Therefore, I would suggest that you purchase a few essentials at the supermarket (e.g. bread, eggs, milk, other breakfast foods) and make yourself breakfast in your suite (the supermarket is very close to the resort). Alternatively, you could grab a quick coffee/donut for breakfast at the resort (If I remember correctly, I think they have a Dunkin Donuts at La Cabana). Indeed, I would rather spend my money on a dinner at one of the great restaurants in Aruba than on a hotel breakfast/AI option.
