We are here now. We got here Friday and it was open. Today it is closed. They appear to be having technical difficulties. We will try to post pictures later for everyone.

According to a post on another bb, the poster went to cash out his slips and they told him to come back the next day after 11 am. When he left the building there were a few police cars and policemen by the parking lot entrance to the casino. Evidently people were hot under the collar about not being paid that night. they used handcuffs on one. Looks like they did not bank enough cash for the soft openings. He said they closed the casino after that. There was an article I think in Diario and 24ora.com maybe

I asked the poster on the other bb if he got his money. He went back Sat after 11 am and got his money. Gentleman at casino said they had computer problems and someone was flying in to fix it.

    Unhappy Trouble at Glitz Casino

I just read in another blog that there was some trouble at the casino on Friday night. There were supposedly 5 police cars, etc and some arrests were made. The visitors at the blog site said that the casino couldn't pay them their winnings on Friday , that they would have to come back the next day to collect. Very strange. I hope it will be run properly. I have been looking forward to playing there while I stay at LaCabana for my annual two weeks in March.

I think the "soft opening" was the only opening. Anyone know any different?

These two Casinos, by La Cabana- are not worthy to go to... the old one( former Outback steak house), is a small, and ampty most of the time( I was there for 11 days, and palyed in it couple of times), because it is next to PBV... an - it used to have just a few people... unlike a new Alhambra... full house every day... and paid back as well( won $450- blackjack, and $300 on roulette

I found I did quite well at Alhambra as well, but the smoke really bothered my wife. The reason I asked about La Cabana is that we are staying there and hoped it would have enough slots and table games to satisfy our gambling itch.
