As for roulette, all I know is that I can't win in the long run, so I make one or two small bets, hoping for a big win, and then leave, happy no matter what the outcome was.
If you know how to play, craps and blackjack do have better odds. If you know how to count, blackjack can become even better. For a skilled poker player, the odds can be even better yet. Any new table game (think Caribbean Stud, 3 card poker, ultimate hold 'em, etc.) has especially bad odds for the players. You are essentially hoping to get very lucky and hit a big payoff. In any case, play for fun and play with money you would be ok spending on another form of entertainment and you will be all right no matter what.
