Lois,
I loved the lazy river. You can't rent the rafts from the pool area. (unless this has changed in the past 3 weeks) I believe you have to get them from the beach area and they are $10.00 per day. Some people brought their own blow up rings or rafts. The current just takes you around and around.........ahhhhhhhh...
I think that they should have intertubes for rent. The timeshare sales reps tell you that they thought you could rent them right from the towel huts but we found out it wasn't true. They also said that they had them available at Christmas but that wasn't true either. In any event try to take your own and then leave it there before comming home if you want..Have fun...I know I did

Re: Lazy River Rafts Surf Club

We were there for over two weeks over Christmas. We rented rafts daily from the Ocean club towel hut for $5 a day or on the beach for $5 a day, not $10. I would assume that if the Ocean Club rents them so would the Surf Club.

Randi:
You are probably correct on the price. My kids went and got them so I wasn't sure of the exact price. The towel huts by the lazy river does not supply them yet. I know because they had to go over by the Ocean Club or somewhere by the beach to get them. They were told that they were not available by the towel hut employees. I suppose that everyone would get them and then you would have a major traffic jam in the river. (haha)

In response to Carol:
When we were down by the lazy river the staff was watching who was sitting around the pool and asked some people with red and white striped towels, (those are the colors of the towels of people staying at the hotel) to leave that it was only for use by Ocean Club and Surf Club owners.

Re: Lazy River Rafts Surf Club

This is the pool at the Marriott Surf Club and as stated above it is only for Marriott Ocean and Surf club guests. If security didn't control who uses this it would be wild. Sorry folks but if you aren't a Marriott guest, you have to swim elsewhere.

It's why I spent $24000 for my 3 bedroom timeshare. For those staying elsewhere....No lazy river for you.

Fortunately anybody whether your staying at the Marriott or not can use the lazy river. Just bring your own tube. You paid $23,000 and I paid little.
