    one of the things that is very HARMFUL to marine life, including the reefs, is the sunblock/sun lotions that we wear.

    there are particular types that are not harmful.

    Zinc or titanium oxides as acitive ingredient = harmless to humans, corals, and ecosystems.

    Oxybenzone, or any other organic chemical compound that sounds similar (for those who struggled through o-chem as I), are toxic to life

    The former is a physical sunscreen, the later is a chemical sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens are mostly bad
