We aren't in Aruba now. We still have over 3 months to go. Can't wait to get there! If you have the lionfish, let us know how it is. Have fun on your trip!

    Thumbs up

    Hunting Lionfish

"...For years there has been a law banning spearfishing of any sort, but the government recently revoked the prohibition for hunting lionfish and will permit the usage of a Hawaiian sling (similar to a bow and arrow on land with rubber replacing the wood), an ELF spear (an environmentally safe spear that resembles the foil sword used in fencing), and a polespear of haak (classic pole and hook) to help deplete the population.
During the Department of Agricultureís Santa Rosa Market Days (dates and locations vary), the Aruba Under Water Hunters host a stand with prepared lionfish on site to purchase for a tasty and unusual seafood treat. Check with your resortís activities desk for information on the next Santa Rosa Market Day...."
