Liquour at a decent price downtown?

Well our hopes of getting cheaper bottles at the airport looks squashed. Does anyone have any idea where to get bottles downtown?

cindyo in a pinch we buy at lings

a few times we were able to buy our baileys and vodka at the liquor cart near the arrival hall. no more though i guess

if you have a connecting flight, maybe you can get some booze at the airport

or like us you may be stuck at a place like lings to get your supply. i find the liquor prices very high in aruba.

can you bring from home, bubble wrap it and cushion it in your l luggage?

Dh says there was a spot real close to McDonald's where we purchased liquor for his Dad one year. Needless to say, does not remember the name. We had shopped around and knew what the "target" price should be, and they were really cheap. Hope they are still there.

I presume you are staying @ the ren; capt. crooks at seaport mall is the highest priced place on the island. Beth & I found a great little bar/package store at the northwest corner of the 3A/2A intersection in Noord called rio gra. (nde part of sign was gone) We stopped in almost every day on our way to town for a road beer and hung out there very late and met some great people a couple of nights. Stop in and say hey to Freddie.

Uncle dave, thanks for the post. You are very right on Capt. Crooks...high priced , and gives me the creeps when I walk in. I feel like I am being "watched" everytime i touch something.
The tip you passed along will get passed along to our 27 other travelers. Much appreciated. I have my huband on the hunt now for plastic bottles of rasp. vodka so I can pack them, and he won't worry.

Sorry, but you cannot bring any liquid as a carry on from home through security. You have to buy on the secure side of the inspection. Your plan would work if you bought it after going through security, just to get it out of the glass, I suppose.

Between the 4 of us, we packed 3 half gallons of vodka, a liter of kahlua, an 18 pack of beer, b/m mix, cranberry. and I don't know how much tonic. Nothing broke and that suitcase was pretty much empty on the return flight.
