I didn't realize the helicopter tours stopped. We went both times we were in Aruba and thoroughly enjoyed both. We've been talking about going again in March. I can understand the concern. Why wouldn't they use the helipad that already exists??
my guess is that because more people (visitors/tourists) are up in the Eagle and Palam Beach areas and this would be much closer then heading downtown to the exisiting helipad.
also too, i do not know who owns the helipad downtown.
possibly the same owners as marina.
I'm pretty sure they've started the heli-tours up again as I noticed a yellow chopper flying up and down the palm beach coast numerous times last week. My eye sight isn't that great but I think the side of the chopper said heli-tours.
