Was there any hassles in bringing in a detector? Was there any problem doing the beaches? I'd love to bring my detector when I come in August, but won't do it if there will be problems.....Appreciate any advice you can give me on this.

    Cheers,

    Greg

My father in law lost a hearing aid about a year ago on palm beach - it probably doesn't work anymore, but would be funny to return to him if you found it!

Sandy - no hearing aid, but several pairs of sunglasses (all damaged beyond repair).

Greg - it is really no hassle to bring it in. We just put it in a suitcase and check it through with our luggage. The only problem is that we cannot insure it through the airlines and we are always afraid that it will be lost or damaged. No problem on the beaches either.

that is so nice of you two!

On Eagle beach at La Cabana in front of the tube ride/chair rental kiosk , a Dutch fellow lost his gold wedding ring last NOV. We spent days trying to find it w/him. Hopefully it will surface again.

btw, rings do tend to fall off as the fingers do retract in size in water cooler than body temp or due to dehydration.
    Thanks to All Who Serve!

    Jewelry lost on Eagle Beach

I have successfully detected on Eagle Beach and in the water for 10 years. I have several nice pieces of jewelry that I would love to return to the owners if correctly described. In the last 3 years I have successfully searched for 3 rings lost in the water by fellow guests. Detecta Dave

I agree with the majority; such a nice thing to do. The world would be such much better if many others follow your example...

What a wonderful thing to do! I for one know what it is like to lose a piece of jewelry while on vacation. I am so happy to see there are people like you in the world. It makes it such a better place to be. And we also have the priviliage of you vacationing in Aruba. That is just so great! I hope that you will be able to return some of the items that you have found to their rightful owners.
