Low Rise

We've stayed at the Wyndham for the last two years and are thinking about trying a low-rise place in January '06. Can anyone give us recommendations? If anyone has stayed at both the low-rise and high-rise, please tell us which you enjoyed better and why. Many thanks to all who respond.

Re: Low Rise

My husband and I have gone to the tamerijn several times now and are very happy with it so we go back every year. some say that the Divi has a little more class but they are both excellent. We enjoy the low rises because they seem to be more private and have many ameneties.

Re: Low Rise

We have stayed at Machebo Beach and the Holiday Inn. Now we own a timeshare at the Renaissance Ocean Suites. We just returned home. Loved every minute of it. I love the Renaissance. You have the beach, pool and a private island, which they take you to by boat. Plus overlooking the Marina. Everything is within walking distance and only a bus ride to the hi rise.

Re: Low Rise

We prefer the lo rise hotels because it is not as crowded and noisy as up at the hi rise hotels. We rent a car and go up to the hi rise area whenever we went to but we enjoy the days on the beach where it is quiet. There is the Divi and Tam (all inclusive), Casadelmar, aruba beach club and costa linda (timeshares directly on the beach), Manchebo and Bucuti Hotels also directly on the beach and many more hotels and timeshares across the small road from the beach. Check out some of the websites that I listed and see what appeals to you.

Can sleep in the mornings

---- For hotels(non-AI) Bucuti would be the best. Manchebo not as good but cheaper. One thing you would not have to get up early and fight for a hut.

Re: Low Rise

We have always stayed in the low rise area - more relaxing and if you want to go out and hve a night on the town just drive there .. we enjoy our relax time. WE live on the coast of RI so our beaches are hetic and crazy with all the tourist so we look for a beach with quiet and comfort... I perfer Low Rise...just bought a timeshare this year..WE did do our homework and staye at other places but LaQuinta won hands down for us...

Yes on those 2

Yes Costa Linda and Casa del Mar are 2 great timeshares near Bucuti and Manchebo. Own 2 weeks at one and both great. But some travel agents may not be able to get you a week there. Have walked through and around all, have eaten at all, staying at any would be great.

Re: Low Rise

I have stayed at LA Cabana and loved it, and just recently returned from my stay at the wyndham. I fell in love with the Wyndham and will choose it over the low-rise resorts any day.
