    Maps

Hello once again. You folks helped me with a cell problem, I hope you can steer me to the correct link or best advice. Again I have read the discussions, yet I have not heard about a map that will not only show the major highways with identifications, but the unmarked roads, some, gravel, some dirt, but still widely used. I know about a Garmin with a downloaded app, and I unfortunately have a Tom Tom. Yet, if that app that you would load into a Garmin, might just be the ticket if it indeed ID's those unmarked roads. Again, I look forward to your learned advice.
    Regards.

I have a Borsch map. It is laminated, reasonably sized for use in the car and quite detailed.

Here's the thing. If you are not using Garmin, you would want to use the Borch map.

However, the Borch map only has detailed street labels for Oranjestad.

San Nicolas and Noord go into some street details, but not all.

Most of all of the roads on the island will be shown on the map, and the major roads will be labeled, however the map, like the island, does not have all of the roads labeled.

I do have to add though, if you are looking for major sites and landmarks, a good many of them are now have signs leading to them. A HUGE improvement since dh and I started visiting the island in '95.

also....there is a lot of fun in a good adventure of being somewhat lost.
we have been "lost" on aruba numerous times.
but, always seem to find our way.

the bosch map is terrific (when one remembers to pack it )

Forgot my Borch map this year - totally forgot to pack it and I meant to so those who haven't been here before could use it. We haven't had a problem and there are so many wonderful people willing to help with directions. We've stopped on the street and asked. The front desk & concierge staff are always more than willing to to draw on the map in the free booklet to show you were to go.

Super!! When you go thru the airport, and I understand people are handing out welcome packages, does that include maps?

Yes in one of the aruba magazines that is a handout there is a map insert that is pretty good.
It might be in the "aruba experiences" magazine?

Yes it is the Aruba Experience Magazine. They are readily available at all of the resorts and have probably the best map outside of Borch.
