Marriott huts?

Im arriving on Friday around 4:30pm at the Marriott Ocean Club, and I'm wondering if I can reserve the beach huts that late for the following day. Does anyone know what time they close? And do I reserve the beach huts at the towel shack? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Michele

Re: Marriott huts?

You can't reserve that late. You can reserve the next day for up to 3 days, but if you're willing to take a hut that's a couple rows back it's really not necessary to reserve anything.

Re: Marriott huts?

So, in order to reserve the ones for the 3 days at a time, do you have to be there super early and wait in the line?

Have your money ready to pay for them at the greedy Marriott.

If you are concerned about the location of your reserved hut, I would get to the towel hut pretty early on the first day. What's one early day out of three? If you don't care what row you're on, its not that important.

How early do you have to get up to reserve the huts?

Re: Marriott huts?

Michele,

For the Marriott Ocean Club, the hut reservations are a little complicated. Half of the huts in the first three rows can be rented and the other half are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. So, for the free ones, the towel hut opens at 7:30am -- I was there the last week February and there was a line at 6:30am -- people waiting for the free huts. Now, for the half available to rent. 50% of the first two rows are available for rent at $15 per day. They are available for rental starting 10;00AM for the following day and you can rent them for 3 days -- after that, you have to do the same thing to rent for 3 more days. The third row is $10 a day. With a paid rental the hut is yours for the entire day. For the free huts, if you leave your towels there and leave for 2 hours, the towels are taken away and someone else can use it.

Renee -- the huts have a thatched roof -- there's a round piece of wood around the pole that makes a small table.
