Re: Massachusetts

We're going Aug 5th thru 11th and South Shore also....Radisson for us this year. We always go in July or August..weather is always perfect. Mid 80's with a 10-15mph trade wind that is constant and generally no rain.

Do pack half of what you think you'll need!
Do enjoy a number of the Fab restaurants!
Do not bring long pants!
Do not do All inclusive!
Do bring sunscreen!
Do have a blast!

ATV tour is up to you, Aruba is dusty desert island with some fantastic resorts with great gardens that might make you think you are in the tropics...you are not, it only feels that way! Some people rave about ATV tours. S'up to you!

Re: Massachusetts

BILL,
THIS WILL BE MY 5TH YEAR IN A ROW TO ARUBA. SOME DO'S AND DON'TS FROM MY EXPERIENCE:
DO GO ALL INCLUSIVE (BEATS GETTING IN A TAXI OR BUS EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO EAT)
DON'T BRING TOO MANY CLOTHES (NOT NECESSARY)
DO TUBING AND BANANA BOATS ATLEAST ONCE
DON'T BRING ANY HEAVY CLOTHES (WON'T NEED THEM)
DO ENJOY YOURSELF!

Re: Massachusetts

Why not do all-inclusive CJ? That's your opinion. Certainly not the rule. Many people do the AI for convenience like myself. I still go out to eat mostly for dinners at the great restaurants in Aruba 6 or 7 times each time we are there. There is room for both.

Re: Massachusetts

Bill,

Rob from Quincy and I loved the island so much I have just purchased a condo down there
next to La Cabana.here is just a couple of tips.

1) Brig a compactable cooler
2) eat at Valentinos
3) eat at El Guacho
4 Bring hart burn Med
5) drop me a e-mail if you have any Questions.
or if you want to visit the island again and I will give you a good deal on a 2 bedroom condo on Eagle Beach and ATV Rentals .robert_storella@hotmail.com

See George he is right before the center of town acroos from where they store the shipping containers. to rent ATVs and make sure you rent ATVs it is a great way to see the Island.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation.

Re: Massachusetts

Again CJ, your opinion on ALL Inclusive is unfounded!

Re: Massachusetts

Gary, Lighten up! It's simply my opinion and preferance that AI is not the best way to go.....There are far too many fabulous restaurants to sample in Aruba.

Bill was asking for advise/opinions, I shared mine and you shared yours......Bill can make his own judgements and decisions based partially on the input in this thread.....cj

PS: There are much better steakhouses on the island than El Gaucho.........!
