MrsLivingston2B sent me these photos to post

MrsLivingston2B (aka Kelly) is in Aruba with her husband for a month or more.
She and her husband did well during the storm and are safe.
They spent a good part of the day touring around...seeing the beaches and the results of Matthew's wrath.

    Thank you Kelly.

I think that the last photo is in the Malmok area.
If MrsLivingston has time, maybe she'll post where this is.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!

It looks like the "tail" of the storm developed right above Aruba. Rain has been pouring down for about 4 hours now accompanied by a thunderstorm with continuous lightning. Amazed the electricity and wifi still works. Seems more rain has been falling over the last hours than over the span of the last two days.

Relieved to see Aruba wasn't hit as bad as it could have been. It is great to see pictures posted by forum members to give us a real sense of what is happening.

Hi everyone weather here is grey and damp today. Lots of thunder storms during the night. Yesterday we toured the hotel areas trying to save as many urchins and corals, loads have been washed up. The walkway into the sea at Boca Catalina has eroded and is in two pieces. I haven't been for a drive today as the car hire company told me to keep the car (I did check that we were covered for storm damage) but they have asked me not to drive along the front as the salt water will damage the engine. I have a few more photos taken yesterday but I need to figure out how to upload them! Last I heard was Matthew has become a cat 5 hurricane poor Jamaica

Thank you. I've been lurking for a while! Decided to go ahead and make a post last night because of the massive amount of rain that fell

Aruba really needed rain to be honest. It also looks like the new drainage systems installed after hurricane Ivan held up and did their job!
