    men/women jewelry in aruba

there is some chatter on a fb group that i belong to.

a person lost her gold and diamonds bracelet.
she has put out the word for people to be on the lookout for it.

    my question is:
do you wear "real" jewelry in aruba ? (as opposed to costume jewelry?)

    i do.
    maybe i shouldn't.
but, i do not wear my diamond earrings in aruba, but do wear them at home 24/7, even in the pool.
in aruba i just wear gold hoops.

DW wears real jewelry in Aruba with no issues. It's at home where she loses stuff.

We wear the real stuff. Didn't spend all of that money for it to be hidden away. Besides, it's all insured.

We left our wedding rings at home last trip. I'm not a big jewelry person and don't wear much. Jon's ring was feeling a little loose before we left. Since we spend so much time in the water we just decided why bring them and keep taking them on and off?

I wear my diamond eternity wedding band. Never wear my engagement ring. I did wear a diamond eternity band toe ring that I got for a wedding present from hubby but lost it in the water at Arashi our first trip there. trying to climb out it must have just scraped off. had another one made when I came home. I never take it off except when I go to Aruba.

I wear less jewelry than I would at home. No bracelets or necklaces but I do wear my diamond earrings and rings.

Over the years I find that I wear less & less real jewelry - Aruba or anywhere else. But my rings never come off my fingers, except for the occasional cleaning.

My wife brings select pieces to Aruba that she wears "going out" Me, I always wear a necklace 24/7 with a pieces I purchased in Aruba over the years. Here's a hint for Andrea of what they may be from ---- "Atocha", "Louisa"
