We are scheduled to stay at Divi AI over thanksgiving. This video has shown the conditions a bit closer to reality than the resort is saying. I'm wondering if improvement on the beach is even possible by then. Very sad that the properties and island in general have to go through this.

I think Mother Nature does a great job in restoring Druif Beach.
It so often takes a beating and then bounces back often with man's help and not overnight.
I have been told that things are looking better. QUOTE=Rtemples;305561]We are scheduled to stay at Divi AI over thanksgiving. Take a look at Divi's Facebook page. There are a few videos that have been posted in just the last few days by people who I assume are staying there now. The beach is narrow but looks good. We've stayed at the Divi many times and from our experience I can say the beach is constantly changing.

Aruba Beach Club and Casa Del Mar still look pretty bad. Hoping some of the beach comes back in the next two months.

That would be great, if you are already in the area. Our room faces the Manchebo side so I'm not too worried. We'be also talked about alternative plans, like a day at Arashi. Now that they have restrooms it makes that a more attractive option .

Can't wait! We really enjoy having a palapa and sitting on the beach, and I've heard they lost some. I guess we will learn to love our 1st floor patio.

I'm just nervous because its taken a lot of convincing to get Jon to the low rise area so I want it to meet all of his "needs"

Even if some were lost, I'm sure they will be restored by the time you get there. I've seen palapas be repaired or replaced the day after they go down.

From what I've read (on facebook), the problem is there isn't enough sand in some places to put them back up. I have no doubt there will be palapas and the beach, it will come down to availability vs. demand. A lot can change in 2 months.
