Re: Mill Resort

The beach is at the end of wyndhams beach next to the public beach. It is a very small area. I suppose you could use the palapas on the public beach or try the Wyndhams. To clearify. All beaches are public in Aruba, but the beach next to the part occupied by the Mill is next to a totally public beach with no hotel. Have a great time

Re: Mill Resort

I have stayed at the Mill resort several times - nice moderately priced hotel with great staff, clean and good sized rooms. Beach is a short walk across the street with beach chairs, towel hut, and plenty of shade. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again....Enjoy....Cheryl

Re: Mill Resort

Hi John , I was on line and was looking for a place to stay and that seemed nice. i talked to people and nobody had anything good to say. there is only one place to eat there. no casino and they told me that the carpets smell like milldo. it's all the way on the other side of everything. my husband's friend goes there every summer and gave us a number to call for a good deal. everyone was telling us the holiday inn, and sure enough we got a great deal. the number is 1-800-79-ARUBA. the lady's name is Ursula. it's a hole saler that just deals with aruba. good luck. even if u have questions i'm sure she could help.. good luck.

Re: Mill Resort

Hi John,
the Mill does have a small setup on the beach, between the Windam and the public beach. by the way all beaches are public. They have a snack shop with water & drinks and some rental equipment and of course beach chairs . They even will drive you over if you want but it is a short 5 minute walk.

Re: Mill Resort

mill resort is across the street from the wyndham. not a far walk to the beach, but there aren't any designated palapas assigned to the mill. i don't have any personal opinion on the rooms, for i have never stayed there, but heresay is not too wonderful...the bar was fun though, we did go there for the disco theme night...sorry i can't offer more.

Re: Mill Resort

Hey John

Notice that people who have stayed there have OK to good reviews. People who have not only say negative things. I'll let you figure the obvious.
You're on Aruba, it's cheap, whats not to like??? take some saved $$ and rent a 4WD vehicle I like the small Suzuki Jimneys a lot less $$ than Jeep Wranglers - Anyway I'm SURE you will enjoy.
Seriously- Get a vehicle for a day or so TOO much fun! Check the Radio Stations very cool stuff @ 4-5-6pm.
Write us a nice trip report!

Re: Mill Resort

We stayed at the Mill for a week almost a year ago. We loved it, short walk to the beach, rooms nice, pool peaceful and quite. The staff is amazing. We stayed at La Cabanna 2 years ago. The pool area was crazy, not relaxing at all. Depending on your room at the bigger resorts you can be just as far away from the beach as you are at the Mill. We plan on visiting Aruba every other year and the Mill is where we will stay from now on. I cried the day we left. The Aruban people are the most friendly and hospitable people in the world, and some of the best work at the Mill. Have a great time and enjoy!
