Money in Aruba

I've been told by several that American money is "widely" accepted in Aruba. I'm visiting Aruba in April and I was wondering if it is necessary for me to exchange American for Aruban money before I arrive. Thanks.

Re: Money in Aruba

No need to echange any money at all. Our money is taken everywhere. You might get some local change when paying for something and if you don't want to keep it exchange it at the front desk of your hotel. You won't have a problem.

US dollars are accepted anywhere and everywhere you go on Aruba. Dont worry, bring US dollars - - you will be fine!

Enjoy the trip!

US $$ everywhere.

Even the bus fares, cab fares, casino bets; are in US$$. At resort will only see US$$ prices. Most restaurants will have menus both ways. Any charges will be run through their machine in US$$. Shops downtown will usually have prices on watches, rings, .... both ways. Even heard one cab driver saying didn't want Aruban money. Wanted US$$.

Re: Money in Aruba

The aruban currency is worth about $1.77/ one U.S Dollar. The U.S. dollar is accepted everywhere. The aurban currency comes in some neat shapes. I get sets for my grandson every year. Something nice to keep.
