MOUTHS OF BABES
We were invited to dinner at one of the Argentina Churrasquerias by frineds from Miami - they had their 5 year old daughter (very cute and outspoken) with them. OUr son Jr. kind of took a liking to her and it made the evening pleasant.
At the end of the dinner, while we were sipping coffee the little girls announced that her Daddy didn't like the food. Up until that point, no-one had mentioned the meal at al and we were mostly reliving old times. Anyway, I asked her "HOw do you know your daddy like the meal?". She respnded by saying that "Mommy always has to tell Daddy not to be such a hog and eat so much. Besides that, I left some stuff on my plate and he didn't get it with his fork".
Her Dad looked at me and simply said - "She is right".
Funny thing about kids knowing their parents that well. Perhaps the kids should fill out those after-dinner suggestion and opinion forms they leave on the table.
