Quite a hike

ORANJESTAD – Fire fighters and other relief workers had quite a job last weekend, when they had to go up the Hooiberg to bring down a person that became sick on top of the hill. Getting the man that has fainted, down the hill was heaving and sweating. It was harder for even the media that accompanied the fire fighters with photo- and film cameras.

Wow, I can understand that happening. My husband and I walked to the top the very first year we were there and I was in much better shape then and had a difficult time. Of course I had only just quite smoking less than a year at that point. As we were walking the steps 2 guys from the island were jogging up the hill, said they do it everyday for exercise.....I told them to slow down as they were making me look bad....they cheered for me when I got to the top !!!!
