welcome to the aruba.com community forum

best wishes for a fantastic wedding and honeymoon

i recommend that you surf around the appropriate sub forums and check out the restaurant postings/reviews, the aruba stories, the activities section.

where will you be staying? will you have a rental car or will be cabbing or using the bus?

my first suggestion is to NOT over schedule yourselves.......leave plenty of time for the beach!
also do not schedule the kukoo kunuku on the evening before your departure date.

We have decided to stay at the Renaissance for 3 days, and the Marriott Stellaris for 3 days.

We aren't sure if we will rent a car or not. I have read mixed reviews.

Thanks for the good wishes and the suggestions.

Also, we are planning on the Kukoo kunuku but definitely not on the last evening!!!

Welcome to the Aruba.com Community Forum! Congratulations on choosing an awesome honeymoon destination!

Take a booze cruise or a snorkel/booze/rope swing cruise with Jolly Pirates - tons of fun! Bar hop while staying at the Marriott. So many fun places!

Welcome to the forum! You have made a terrific choice visiting Aruba for your honeymoon. Follow the above recommendations and may I suggest a bar crawl? Start with a drink in your hand at the Stellaris. Walk down the beach past the Oceans and Surf Club and you will come upon Moomba. Have a drink there and continue to wade down the beach and you will come to Pelican Nest over the water. After a stop there, continue down the beach to Bugaloe also over the water. Turn around and head up to the "boardwalk" and swing by Gilligan's for another. Heading back towards the Stellaris you will pass Scott's Brats, Playa Linda beach bar and Carlitos. That will bring you to the Holiday Inn which is next door to Moomba. Hit up Hadicurari (at sunset) and stroll on back to the Stellaris. All of these places have food available and I suggest getting a bite to eat at one or two of your stops. Also wear plenty of sunscreen.

it certainly is not the "road not taken"

i think that those beach bars...moomba, pelican, bugaloe etc ..should make an "event" of it.
maybe even a weekly scavenger hunt kind of event.
