While you are at Ren. I highly recommend that you go to dinner at Barefoot, for toes in the sand dining. We also love Pinchos, West Deck, and Yemanja, which are all downtown. The private island is wonderful. The adult side will be to your right, when you exit the boat. That is the side with the flamingos.

Pelicans Nest: they have a mango frozen drink that is awesome but I can't remember the name, yep, that good.
    Carlitos: Mojitos
    Scott's Brats: Vodka and Lemonade
Playa Linda Beach Bar: Raspberry mudslide
Bugaloe: the blue frozen drink or the frozen sangria

    That's my tour of drinks.

Start with a drink in your hand at the Stellaris. Walk down the beach past the Oceans and Surf Club and you will come upon Moomba. Have a drink there and continue to wade down the beach and you will come to Pelican Nest over the water. After a stop there, continue down the beach to Bugaloe also over the water. Turn around and head up to the "boardwalk" and swing by Gilligan's for another. Heading back towards the Stellaris you will pass Scott's Brats, Playa Linda beach bar and Carlitos. That will bring you to the Holiday Inn which is next door to Moomba. Hit up Hadicurari (at sunset) and stroll on back to the Stellaris. All of these places have food available and I suggest getting a bite to eat at one or two of your stops. Also wear plenty of sunscreen.
Well, you just occupied one of our nights!

This tour is a good one during the day too. Happy Hour at Now Clubhouse starts 12-1!

For a nice romantic beach dinner check out the menus on line for Barefoot and Flying Fishbone. Both of these I would recommend. You could choose the menu you prefer and do on your Rennaissance part of the trip to save a little cab fare. In your situation, I really don't recommend a car rental, I don't think you would get enough use out of it. Both locations are walkable to plenty of places and taxis are readily available so no need for one of you to be the DD. Definitely take an off road tour, or even rent a jeep for just 1 day. You could do that on your moving day to change hotels. Leave your bags at with the Bellman before or.after check out, rather than in the jeep of you go that route.

    You’re going to want to:
Take a tour of the island.
Go on the Koo-Koo Kunuku Party Bus.
Spend part of the day at Eagle Beach, Palm Beach, Baby Beach or Arashi.
Check out the Bon-Bini Festival in downtown Oranjestad.
Check out downtown Oranjestad, there are a lot of restaurants, bars etc, waiting to be discovered.

Lots more to see and do, but you will want to save that for future trips.

You're like the Magellan of Cocktailing... you know: without all the pillaging, death and disease for the natives.

    Well... "light" pillaging.
