Re: My Conspiracy Theory

Same old, same old. Do the math. If you use cabs a lot, travel a lot at night, out to dinner, over to one Casino back to another, take morning rides up to the windsuring area, get a coffee, watch the surfers, go downtown at night walk around seaport, go to different nite spots, back to town again, up to Tomato Charlies area, walk around and many and so forths, I love the rental route. Dinner at Fly..Fish..is about $42 round trip. Cabs to lighthouse is high esp.
on weekends. SuperMrkt shopping makes a car handy. Dont forget to include the total convenience and availability of a car at your disposal.
If your renting, a must is rent at the airport coming in and returning the car again at the airport when you leave. Thats equal to almost two days rental alone.

I gotta believe that almost everything written here can be solved with: Different Stokes for Different Folks. neither are wrong or right!!

Re: My Conspiracy Theory

now i am very nervous, just reserved a jeep through budget, but just for a day...just to go to the natural bridge and to flying fihbone(figured it would be the same $$ to rent a jeep for the day instead of taking a cab) plus we could see the island, grocery store ect., should i cancel it and just take cabs, rather spend extra $$ on cabs then spending 6k if it was to get stolen...is this a problem with many or just a few people? do you think it happens more if your renting for the week vs just 24 hours???

Re: My Conspiracy Theory

Could you please tell me who you rent from? I have been agonizing for two months over who to choose!! Last year we used National and were not happy at all.

Re: My Conspiracy Theory

Thanks everyone for your responses. I know I may sound crazy and I may sound a little nuts but I believe something fishy is going on with rental cars and I am hesitating on renting one. If i do Ill rent in early morning and return it at night.

Once again thanks everyone for your repsonses...chris

Re: My Conspiracy Theory

Back on 03-16-05 a few posts back I wrote that $20.00=12.00 in Florins. Thats backwards.

20.00 in Florins = about $12.00 in US. At supermrkts their cash registers do the conversion. Be cautious at gas stations. The attendants do the conversion! Consequently short changing is not unheard of.

Re: My Conspiracy Theory

we been there 25 times and once they took the hubcap....25 bucks....inside job. thats why we rent the cheapest car possible.....nothing worth to take...and they run fine.....and no hubcaps...and use the same rental agency if you are happy with them......we always use economy or budget...never a problem....one time we used someone else and our hubcap was taken. joe
