I had heard that DePalm purchased the building that had been up for sale. We'll have to take a drive over there next month and take a look at the updates.

I was not sure how to call it, it's not really a "restaurant". In the article I posted it's called "building".

    Here is an excerpt:

Despite the big bridge collapsing ten years ago, hundreds of thousands of tourists visit this iconic attraction every year. Since re-opening the new building visitors and locals have been complimentary of the changes, especially the restrooms and the many photos hanging throughout the building showing Aruba dating back to the fifties. The gift shop offers unique souvenirs and the very popular Biba Dushi line of apparel. The bar includes a wide selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, snacks and ice cream.

the place was closed when we were there in november and we wondered what was going on....if they were remodeling, sold....etc
Nice to see they have kept it, remodeled it and again are open for business. We became so attached to going there that I would be sad if they had decided to close it.
Cant wait to get back and have an ice cold frozen slushy drink !!!! Yay !!!!

The Natural Bridge is always on my MUST SEE things. Again and again and again...

I liked the former little snack bar but could not tell in which condition it was in the past few years. I'm very happy that it has been remodeled and kept. Now, it looks like a cunucu house which is wonderful, IMO.

Looks great, I'm sure they will do well with all the tourist. I still have a beautiful stained glass bottle i purchased there years ago. thanks for the pictures. I love how the old one was called the "thirst aid station" what a great name and how true it is we always stopped for a cold drink when there.

Here are some photos I took from the Natural Bridge and the little "restaurant" during my last visit to Aruba in April 2010. I loved the tile work on the wall.
