I'll be there in 3 days : ) and we're going to rent a Harley for a day next week. My concern is that when we rented a car last year, it was so confusing getting around the island because there aren't many street signs. I was constantly looking at the map, but I can't do that this year on the bike.
Does anyone have any hints on getting around without getting lost... or any "bad" areas that I shouldn't get lost in?
There are none "bad areas"...and if you follow common sence(as a direction),you`ll never get lost.Look at the trees, and they will show you the way to the south(hotel)side of the Island. And there some areas, where you won`t be able to get on the bike, or at least is dangerous(driving) there.
Wendy, I was just there in Feb and we rented a Harley for a day. The first half we went on a guided tour. Larry will take you all around which was great. Then we ate lunch and was on our own for the rest of the day. I think there is only 1 Harley dealer on the Island. Its there on the main drag right before all the grocery stores. I think for the whole deal, it was about $200. Kent
I wrote this same question with the subject of "good block, bad block oooooh". This is a page or so down and looks like people wrote some helpful info. I can't tell you from experience since we aren't going for another two weeks.
