New Look for Renaissance Marketplace

ORANJESTAD – With a roofed-in amphitheater, new roof and awning, owner of the Renaissance Marketplace, Metacorp, wants to make the place more attractive for the shopping public and tourists. A thorough renovation will start before the end of this year. “The shopping mall is being improved with some regularity, but this time, other than touch ups, the shopping center will also get a facelift”, says spokesperson Zugheila Lindeborg. The shops at the Seaport Casino side will be provided with a new awning, which will give them more space. “The real big work is going to take place next year, after the high season. Metacorp assures us that after completion, Renaissance Marketplace will look completely different. The roof is going to be changed and a covered amphitheater is going to be built on the plaza at the side of Café The Plaza and restaurant The Waterfront. All the tiles will also be replaced and the façade of the shopping mall will get a new aura with aluminum decorations.
