    new mall by the HI

HI, Arriving on Jan. 7, - wondering if the new mall is done by the Holiday Inn. We will be staying at the Mill and usually walk that way in the morinings to go to Amici's for breakfast. Any new rest's there? Can't wait for our 11 day trip.

Was at the new mall just last week and while not finished, there are lots of shops open for business. None of the restaurants were open but there will be several including a Fridays. Can't wait to get back and shop as we liked all of the stores. Most of the shops are the same as in town but there are some really nice new shops. Have fun!

    Hi Paula,

Most shops are open. The few remaining are mostly the night clubs and restaurants. Theese (typically) take a bit longer to get up and running due to the difference in preparing the space.

We, (Aruba Fastphones) are there above the MAGGYS.

    Stop by and say hi.

    be well
    charles

Was in Aruba last week and went to the new shopping center a couple of times. Walked around and saw most of the shops were open and went to a movie in the new cinema complex (7 theaters I think). Two restaurants that we saw open were Scali - all along the street side - and The Belgian Waffle House within the plaza. A nice water fountain display is there and plenty of places to sit and watch the water change formations to the music. They were advertising liquid fireworks, but I don't know when they have them. Easy to reach from any high rise hotel; we stayed at the Radisson and it took about 10 minutes to walk there. The mall is directly across from the space between the Holiday Inn and the Playa Linda, right next to Sbarro and the Brazilian Steak House.
    Enjoy!
