    New radio station for Aruba!!!

There's a new station on the airwaves in Aruba...
It's coming out of San Nicolas, and it's called Massive 103.5

It's a nice change from the usual radio one hears on the island, in that there isn't a dj...yet.
Which means, the music is pretty constant, pretty good, and there are no interruptions by a dj
that's sending out hellos and personal messages to his or her buddies and friends.

If interested, you can just go to
    http://massivearuba.com/

It's worth a listen... good island vibes.

Finally some representation from San Nicolas....
    They deserve it.

    Sunrise City and all that...

A lot, or should I say a LOT of the really good bands that you'll hear live on the island don't have anything on the airwaves.
As easy as it seems, it's harder than one may think to get airplay...
in the Caribbean, North or South America, or anywhere...
Though I'm hearing a lot of Tsunami these days on the air coming out of Aruba.

    Want killer
    live music?
    Here are a few....

    2Sweet Band
    Honeypot Aruba
    Alain Rockney
    The Black Sheeps
    Tsunami
    Joyride Band
    Dub I-Tree
    Banzaai

Any of these bands will blow you away...
    Take my word for it.

    Okay... let me see....

Black Sheeps and Banzaai are usually at Club Chaos (downtown)
Primo Bandits (not on the list but amazing players...) are at Legends Pub in Palm Beach
    Joyride Band is at Bugaloe...
Honeypot Aruba can be heard at Chaos
2Sweet Band every other Friday at the Tamarijn, right beside the pool
Alain Rockney (an amazing player and entertainer) is at Cafe de Pijp in Palm Beach, I believe Wednesdays and Sundays.

There's a few for you. That should keep you busy for a night or two...

For more info, look any of them up on facebook... they all have pages there.

We have also heard Joyride on several occasions at Moomba. That band can get a crowd on their feet!

I like what I hear so far. Hopefully they keep it more local music with some input from the region(Calypso, Soca etc).

...and it's only going to get better.
Word has it that the inestimable Easy B, singer for both Tsunami and 2Sweet, has just been taken on as a dj at Massive.

    Here come da SOCA!!!!
