    New type of outdoor safe?

I just saw this on Angelo's paper this morning, SAFEGO Portable Indoor/Outdoor Lock Box Safe with Key and Combination Access

It looks different then the other ones I have seen. Has anyone bought this type? It's from Amazon.

This is the same or very similar to the vacation vault?

We have been using the PacSafe now for a few years.
It holds more and suits our needs.QUOTE=smoki;323930]I just saw this on Angelo's paper this morning, SAFEGO Portable Indoor/Outdoor Lock Box Safe with Key and Combination Access

I presume this would be something you would lock to your beach chair while you are off swimming? Is theft that big of a problem along the beaches?

hard to say if theft is a big problem.
we read of it now and again.

I think many people now use these kind of locking devices.

    this prevents "snatch and grabs"

take the same cautious precautions that you would anywhere.

leave nothing visible in the car AND lock the car.
lock things at the beach when you are in the water or away from your chair.

well, you wouldn't leave your purse on your chair and go in the water elsewhere so don't plan on doing it in Aruba. I did it but had not much in it and it was taken. But in reality, it was my own fault. I would never do that anywhere else so what made me think I can do it in Aruba. The beach is safer than say Jamaica but its not perfect (except the water and the people, lol)...

andrea, I tried to pull up the one you use but had no luck since I really wasn't sure what to put in...can you elaborate or give me a link ???
I never really leave stuff on the beach, but I do on occasion and usually its a room key and a few $$$, I always think I will need cash (like in case someone cames along selling something I just can not live without,,,,,LOL)

when we go to the beach, (please no criticism for our electronics) sometimes we put the following in the pacsafe
    care keys
    room key
    drivers license
    2 iPhones
    paul's kindle
    my ipad
    small amount of cash
we attach the pacsafe's cable to the large post off the palapa.
if we do not have a palapa, it is attached to our lounge chair.
once we attached the pacsafe to a tree when we were at a beach with out palapas or lounge chairs.
