LOL yeah there is something to be said about not wanting to go in the Atlantic Ocean in July or August(too cold) but you can(and will) go into the caribbean sea in February.(nice and warm)LOL

I go every New Years, havent missed one in 7 years. I wait until it gets closer to book my airfare. The prices are cheaper then. Last year I paid around 450 and 500 the year before.

I am patiently waiting.... I just like to have everything booked. Had the trip booked at less than $500 last year by April 20.

Not worth an extra $1000 though to book today just to see prices drop in a month or 2.

New Year's is the best time of year down there. There were so many people around and the fireworks were spectacular.

We actually will be flying in on New Years Day... so we will miss the fireworks there I have heard that they are great though! I do remember seeing all the little red papers from them in the roadway.

Bit the bullet and booked at the high ticket price. Oh well! Excited to have a nice long New Year's trip finally booked.

Im going to wait to book until it gets closer. Normally I book in October. If the prices dont go down then I will just fly standby and take some risks. Ill get there one way or another!

If the price drops more than $150 a ticket - I'll get a refund from Continental.

Oh a refund! That would be awesome!!!

Found out recently that there will be no Aruba trip for myself and my husband next year after all because I am pregnant and will be due at the end of January! We are super excited but man, were we bummed, no Aruba!

We'll just have to bring the baby for it's first trip in January 2012!
    I'll remove my ticker now
