New Years Eve

Hello... I will be in Aruba over New Years Eve and am looking for good place to go for dinner on New Years Eve. Would like to have seafood and already have reservations at AquaGrill, & Flying Fishbone. Will be with another couple so looking for a fun, festive atmosphere Any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks...
Doug

Re: New Years Eve

Flying Fishbone is better than Aqua Grill. If you have a car definately go to Flying Fishbone. The atmosphere is wonderful as you sit outside by the water and your feet sit in the sand. One word to the wise about NY eve, this evening is one like no others in Aruba. If you are travelling by taxi make sure you are back at your hotel BEFORE midnight. Most of the taxi's are nowhere to be found as EVERYONE IS PARTYING. We will either do one of two things, go out and be home by 11 pm and enjoy the fireworks from the hotel or go to dinner within walking distance of our hotel. As far aas Aqua Grill goes, the food is good but it is large and loud. We prefer for seafood Driftwood. That is where many of the local Arubans go. It is not beautiful inside but different but the food is amazing.

Re: New Years Eve

You have to find out, if they have different sittings(sounds rediculous),but-true.Last year we went to French Stake House, for NYE dinner, last sitting(abelieve at 8:30), and the whole thing was over by 11:35, and-you are out of there. This year-we gonna have a dinner earlier ,and by Midnight-go downtown-to see Firework display.Best view-bythe Seaport.

Contact your Resort

Someone who has been there on New Years Eve might know for sure but I think downtown has a fireworks show. So could have a early dinner at the Driftwood and take in the fireworks. Contact your front desk who would know for sure where/if/time of any fireworks.

Re: New Years Eve

Arubagoer... Thanks for the information. I've actually already made dinner reservations at The French Steak House. It is located right by our resort. How was your meal there? Also what was the dress code like? Any different since it is New Years Eve?

Looking forward to my honeymoon in Aruba in 29 Days!!!!

Re: New Years Eve

I was in Aruba 2 years ago for New Years. Our hotel had a New Years Eve Bash and the Fireworks are unbelieveable from any point on the island. Aruba knows how to throw a party.......Just a word of advice we received if you are going into town. This is a big holiday so you may have trouble getting a taxi out of town if you go. My advice stay close to the hotel(We were on Palm Beach) sit back, have a drink (or a few) and be amazed at how a beautiful little island puts on one of the most amazing displays you will ever see. Have Fun!

Another good place to go would be a place called Teaxs De Brizail. Or if you want to go to a club a good on would be Caroles and Charles. They through a verry big New years eve party. It is a blast to go during this time of dyear you will have a lot of fun.I will be in aruba during that time to have a good trip.

Re: New Years Eve

Have a "wonderful honeymoon"- I would definitely go to "Flying Fish bones" for a "Romantic" evening at SunSet then go back into town for the fireworks and partying..it's a long nite..enjoy it...take a "honeymoon" swim at midnite with the Fireworks overhead...something you can't do every day!! Congratulations..have fun!!
