This might have already been covered, but do Nextel radios (push to talk) work in Aruba

All info appreciated....

unsure about nextel those are cell phones right?

we have used cobra and uniden and both have a fair transmission
and by "fair" i mean somewhat staticy, and the range is ok........
was able to communicate alhambra shopping bazaar to lacabana

The push to talk did not work a few years ago in aruba and the international phone service for nextel only worked in some area's.

last I knew there were no Nextel towers, but if you have push to talk on the Sprint side it may work with an international phone.

Answer is NO, No iden units work in Aruba Not even Sprint cdma push to talk. just interconnect (phone calls) but leave it home and rent a unit in Aruba you'll be better off.
