well, here we are again................it is labor day weekend.
whatcha doing this weekend?

remember the old days? this was the weekend we all trudged back from vacation (for my family and me it was from w. dennis on cape cod). all of us crammed in the beach wagon (what we called the station wagon).

now, so many of us with kids are already back in the school year mode as many areas in the US starts back in early August. (Lisa's Charlie has been back for 3 weeks!) and here in New England, many of the school districts went back on wednesday the 29th.

wishing you all a happy, and safe last "official day of summer".

our plans include 2 cookouts and dropping off our son at Massachusetts Maritime Academy to begin his senior year!! woo hoo!!!

We will be hanging around the house this weekend. Too dangerous on the highways to go too far. There is a Ribfest with Bands locally that we drop into.

Where has the summer gone?

My kids start school next Wednesday, which is how I think it should be....summer isn't officially over until AFTER Labor Day!

Unfortunately, my weekend isn't going to be relaxing at all, but that's life. A wake, a funeral, a niece's birthday party, an anniversary mass to attend. Monday is looking good though!

Not much doing around here. Catch up on some yard work. 25 days in August it was over 90 degrees so too hot to do much other than mow the lawn when ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED. Now our weekend forecasts 40-50% chance of Tstms each day. If we are lucky and the weather cooperates, we'll sneak some quality time to soak in our hot tub out on the patio. Not much else, can you tell we are saving our pennies for fun stuff in AUA? LOL, we are saving ourselves for the excitement of the county fair at the end of October. Big doings in these parts.

Oh, and last but not least, one person here has not chimed in. Has she begun packing for Aruba already?

Packing? Me? I don't leave until next Saturday....which means I won't start packing until next Thursday!

Have a couple of celebrations next week (b'day and anniversary) so it's going to be a busy week trying to get ready for Aruba at the same time. It's a tough job but....I think I can handle it!

No big plans this weekend except to enjoy this gorgeous weather, maybe hit the MN State Fair and eat alot of things on a stick, and grill out with friends.

Hello all,
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Tomorrow pam has PHD work to do while I dink around a anchorage with a friend and survey some moorings. Sunday Pam and I will be sailing with friends and maybe monday also.

And of course Lisa and I will be watching the weather at 12n - 70w . I think inversion 93 will get a it's name tomorrow or the next day.

and noticed another TD at 0 (equator)- 5s, lets see where that is in 2 weeks.

The weather channel is not even mentioning this yet.
