I am etting worried. Anybody have any info on the progress of the resort? We will be going for feb. break. i hope it is totally complete, not just some of it. I am paying for a totally operational resort. According to my travel agent who called the tour group it will be opened. Does anybody no a direct e-mail address? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Does not look at all like it wil be fully functional.

I spoke with the reservations manager last week and she assured me that the hotel would be open by presidents week. That is when I intend to stay there....I am waiting to make my reservation until the beg of January when they will know more.

just returned 11/26 no chance of this property opening any time sooner than may,my guess would be more closer to june..don't listen to any thing the resort is going to tell you,it's just not going to happen...

I just returned from Aruba yesterday. We stayed at the radisson, so we had a great view of the work being done. There is no way the allegro will be open by feb. if I had to guess i would say atleast another six months. The entire week we never saw more than 2 units being worked on. half the rooms don't even have windows and the enterior of the rooms haven't even been started. The lack of progress over there was a topic every day at the pool. Sorry for the bad news.

We were at the Occidental Grand Thanksgiving week and we bought week 47. They were working on all the units, but none were complete except the 2 models that they use to show. They told us that they should be done by Feb, but if not they will be letting people stay there as unit owners are pushing for it.

Personally I do not think the resort will be FULLY operational by Feb, but I do think they will let people stay there in their rooms. The pool may not be done and the outside may not be done, but I think the rooms will be done inside and you will be able to go to the beach. I do not think the casino and stores will be done either. Just my thinking.....

We cannot wait to go next year for our week we bought.

I also stayed at the Radisson in October.
You will NOT want to stay there with it looking the way it does. They don't even have a pool right now.
I hope things work out for you.

We just went through a horrible mess with the occidentail and I agree that you can not listen to what the hotel tells you. We were scheduled from Dec 18-30 and my husband say a posting here from someone who had looked at the site on their visit to Aruba and they said it would not be ready.

We had to scramble to get another hotel at the last minute and most everything was sold out for the dates of our airfare.

Anyway we were told it was not going to be ready until March or April
